2020 Spring Capsule Wardrobe

Beauty & Fashion, Fashion & Lifestyle

I don’t know about you, but I am so looking forward to spring. Even though I feel this winter was pretty lame, in New Jersey. (Hardly any snow. Yet, a LOT of germs that didn’t seem to die off. Thus, making my house feel like an infirmary.) I LOONG for the warm breeze. Being outdoors. And, wearing Spring Clothes! I took the liberty of finding ALL of my favorite items that are trending this season. So, may I present to you this 2020 Spring Capsule Wardrobe!

Don’t you hate it when you come home from a day of shopping, with several pieces that you are super excited about… Only to find out, the following evening, that you cannot put an outfit together!? I’m sure Scott is not the only husband who will ask…

“You mean after all that shopping you don’t have the right jacket to wear?”

This is what I love about a “Capsule Wardrobe”.

What is a Capsule Wardrobe?

If you’re not familiar with a “Capsule” Wardrobe, basically it’s just an economical method of mixing and matching fashion pieces in order to create multiple looks. My goal is to create a graphic guide, every season, with items that are currently available and on-trend. So, we are going to start with this Spring Capsule Wardrobe for 2020!

Spring Wardrobe Checklist

Before you decide on anything you may want or need for the spring, I recommend that you take inventory of the fashion items you already have. I created this handy-dandy checklist so you can go through it, and determine what your closet is lacking. Of course, it’s not exhaustive nor perfectly suited for everyone. Feel free to edit it as needed.

Now, it’s time to check out some of the NEWEST items that are available in each category. I tried to cover all price points, so you’ll find pieces from Target to higher end retailers.

One rule of thumb: If you’re getting a piece that is classic (not going out of style any time soon), these are worth investing! For example, a silk scarf is something you will own and use forever! A designer bag is something that won’t go out of style any time soon. And, of course, is made to last! So, when planning your spring fashion budget, designate more of your spending allowance on those classic, high quality pieces.
