Well, it’s that time of year again. Scott and I have a bunch of projects scheduled for the outside of the house. Work has already begun!
Anyway, I figured I’d follow up with a bunch of pictures. These show the different areas of the backyard at The House on High Street. In a few days, our backyard will look VERY different!
Gosh, I wish I had more time to write. I’m really behind with posts about The House on High Street. You’d think that Scott and I were just sitting around, changing diapers and eating Bon-Bons! But, we’ve still been quite busy with house projects.
Back in the fall, I sewed curtains for the kitchen. I’m still very new at sewing curtains, but I actually love the way these turned out.
(This is not a tutorial. This is a summary of a novice sewer making HUGE curtains, for the first time, and only messing up once. ; )
I finally finished my Lined Curtain Project. It only took me an entire summer. I worked at my own pace, and managed to enjoy it. In spite of the sore back, knees, and neck!
A lot is happening at The House on High Street. Well, more like, outside of the house. Scott and I have officially begun work in transforming our two acres of land.
I’ve always wanted an elegant, yet rustic kitchen. I know an elegant and rustic kitchen may sound a bit like an oxymoron. But, if you remember back to my first post, My Kitchen, My Gift, I’ve always wanted a kitchen that was elegant and pretty, but also rustic and warm. Thanks to Scott’s help (and talent), and a full day of work, he and I both hung faux beams on the ceiling, of the kitchen, at The House on High Street.
Thanks for your patience with this post. This is the second half of The House on High Street Home Renovation Tour. We continue with the second and third floor. (If you missed it, click here for Home Reno ~ Before & After, Part I.)
