Real Confidence ~ You Have What It Takes!

Foster Care & Family

I started using Instagram a little over a year ago with a greater intention. My hope is to expand my reach and hopefully make a greater impact on women, around the world. I love helping anyone, really. But, I have a deep burden in my heart to help women.

Why, you may ask? Because God allowed me to experience a lot of tribulation, that women can understand and relate to, best. My story is actually far from glamorous. Yet, for whatever reason, God has me using it. Ironically, it was after my greatest tribulations, that I learned about real confidence. My confidence comes from God, alone. It’s part of the message I hope to share with every woman I know!

Real Confidence ~ You Have What it Takes!

If I had one thing that I could give to another woman, it would be real confidence. Not the kind that is based on the amount of attention we are getting. (Or, not getting.) But, the kind in which we KNOW how much we are LOVED and ACCEPTED by GOD. Without conditions.

Real Confidence

In the past year, I’ve been showcasing a lot of fashion on LE Woman and my Instagram page. It’s one of the areas I love to offer inspiration to others. (Specifically, wearing nice, quality looks, at affordable prices.) I do believe that when we look our best it helps us do our best. As a wife. A mom. A teacher. etc.

Anyway, my photos over the past year have transitioned from house & foster babies (From the neck down, of course!) to just me. A lot more up close and personal. Believe it or not, it wasn’t easy taking this step. Most fashion influencers are very young (in their early twenties). Very thin (Small. Extra Small. Super, duper small.) They have long hair. And, their lifestyle is carefree. Their photographs look like they are Cinderella, in a fairy tale!

I know what it feels like to hear that little voice, in your head, that says, “Just quit it. You don’t have what it takes.”

I mean, here I am. In my late forties. (Oh my gosh. Did I really just say late forties!?) I’m not very thin. I don’t have long hair. And, my life is… Eh, kind of boring! Catch a photo of me at an off-moment, and I’d probably have cheerios sticking to the bottom of my day-old socks! (If you watch my Instagram Stories you get a better idea of my day-to-day real life.)

But, think about it…

Could it be possible that the majority of these physically flawless, barbie-doll looking, sparkly-lifestyle living, Gucci-bag wearing, young, and skinny influencers are not as confident as they appear? Not everyone can see beyond the photos. And, the hair spray. And, the Prada bags. And, the lashes. And, the photo shop, etc.

(By the way, I know quite a few exceptional Influencers who are not only beautiful on the outside, and killing it on Instagram. These women are bringing a lot of confidence-boosting value to their audience. Those are the ones that I follow! And, I suggest you do, too! ; )

Real Confidence

Blogging has definitely helped me to stay on top of my physical health and appearance. As a stay at home mommy, I know how that mommy-rut can sneak its way into your life! I also know that it can become tempting to go overboard. And, become too focused on YOURSELF as the subject. It’s important to find the right balance. When we have a real confidence, we are reminded that God is the one we should please. To God, we are enough.

Real Confidence

Confidence comes from within. Real confidence is lasting because it comes from our creator. Knowing that God loves us, unconditionally. The one who knows us best. This kind of confidence can NOT be taken away. No matter what you’re wearing, who is looking, or how many followers you have. Once you have real confidence, you exude a joyful presence that stands out!

God not only wants to give you real confidence. He wants you to use it to help others know, that they, too, have what it takes!

I’m still doing this because I love the Lord.

  • I want to be the best version of myself and please HIM.
  • I want to connect with other women in a way that will truly enhance their lives.
  • I want them to know that they have what it takes. And, that real confidence comes from God!

Imagine if you took on a whole new perspective starting tomorrow. Before you head out the door and start your day, remind yourself: “I just want to please God and show others who He is through whatever it is I can do!” I bet you’d end up looking your best and feeling your best. I bet you’d have a great day! And, probably inspire more people than you could, otherwise. Try it!

In the meantime, I leave you with a few bible verses on the subject of confidence and self worth. (If you know of any other bible verses, not mentioned, please feel free to share it in the comment section, below!) But, let’s just allow these few to soak in. How much God loves us. And, wants us to have a real confidence.

In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. Proverbs 14:26

Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:4-6

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:16

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Hebrews 10:35

Friend, if I haven’t done so, lately, I’d like to say Thank You for being a part of LE Woman. Do you know that I prayed for you to visit? It’s true. I hope that the content on LE Woman inspires you to live an extraordinary life. And, have the real confidence only our loving Father can provide!

God bless!
