We all love the feeling of giving that perfect gift. But, when it comes to bridal and baby showers, the competition is rather stiff. While it’s pretty standard to stick to the registry; I think it’s also nice to add a unique little gift as the perfect, extra touch. That’s not as easy as it sounds. There are several occasions that will come and go during a baby’s first few years of life. So, I wanted to provide some unique ideas to help you select the perfect baby gift with confidence.
LOFT is one of my top five retailers for fashion. Their clothes are not only comfortable and moderately priced, I feel good wearing them!
Yesterday, I visited a LOFT nearby. With the help of one of their resourceful associates, I was able to try on all of my top pic pieces from their newest Fall 2017 arrivals. Some I already owned, and a few I just had to snag. They are running a great sale, right now. I hope you can find some great deals, as I have.
So, you want to go blonde. And, you’re considering doing it yourself. Are you absolutely certain you want to do this? If so, read on, my friend. I’m going to share with you the WHY, WHAT, and HOW to achieve the perfect blonde hair, at home.
This is my favorite time of the year! I love the colors of fall. The smell of the crisp air. The boots, scarves, and hats that come out of my cedar closet. And, of course everything pumpkin! Pumpkin pie, pumpkin beer, pumpkin martini’s, pumpkin scented candles…
I’ve been experimenting a lot with makeup, lately. Especially since I have recently gone blonde, and my “tan skinned” days are over. In other words, I keep a more pale complexion, these days. I think it’s important to reevaluate our “look” every 6 months, because a subtle change in just the color of our skin (say, from summer to fall) can clash with our makeup products.
I just finished my third Youtube video on organic skincare and makeup products. Right now, these are my favorites based on three standards.
1) The ingredients need to be natural. Preferably, organic! After being diagnosed with autoimmune disease AND the MTHFR Mutation that limits my body’s ability to detox, I knew that I had to make some serious changes. I cleaned up my diet. I exchanged the products in my household (from bar soap to laundry detergent). I incorporated a weekly Detox routine. And, I switched out my skincare and make-up products. Our skin is the largest organ. Ignoring the vulnerability of our skin absorbing toxins from harsh chemicals, paragons, artificial colors/fragrances, etc. can lead us down a turbulent path of acquiring more autoimmune disorders! All this to say, I’ve been very picky in selecting products that go on my skin (and especially my face), and the ingredients have to be natural!
