Hosting a Galentine's Day Party!

Food & Home, The House on High Street

I’ve been enjoying Valentine’s Day, ever since I was a little girl. Back then, I loved making cards and passing out treats to my classmates and teachers. It was simple fun, and it made me happy to share even the littlest thing with others.

When I first heard about a “Galentine’s Day Part”, I thought it was so silly or merely reserved for single women. But, then I remembered something. Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers! It’s a day to spend with those you love! Galentine’s Day (official or not) can be the perfect excuse to gather the friends you love and do something special. And, fun!

In today’s post, I’m going to share just how easy it is to throw something together. Without spending a lot of time or money! Read on…

Hosting a Galentine’s Day Party

What better way to make your friends feel loved and appreciated? Host a Galentine’s Day Party! Some Pinterest ideas are incredible, yet stressful. You don’t have to go all out to show your friends a good time. Women are rather easy to please. (Think chocolate or sweets. Champagne or Martinis. Watching the Bachelor! Or, a chick flick in your pjs!)

If you do decide on hosting your first Galentine’s Day party, keep these few tips in mind:

1.) Grab just a few pink or red decorations from Amazon, Target, or a Dollar Store! It doesn’t really take that much to make the girls happy! Keep a budget. It’s possible to do this for less than $20!

2.) Consider making an easy dessert in which the girls can participate in the fun part. The decorating! Pick up some already made sugar cookies at the grocery store. Some white cake icing. And, a pink cookie decorations. (Approximately $10 total.) Simple fun! And, dessert is done. ; )

3.) Determine a classic drink for the party. Pink champagne (aka champagne with raspberries)! Cosmopolitans. Strawberry mojitos. You can even serve Sprite with frozen raspberries in a champagne flute. It’ll turn pink and it tastes great. Can’t get more girly than that?

4.) Play some fun jams. (Girly, of course. Like Katy Perry. Lady GaGa!) Watch the Bachelor! Or, play some games! You can get these photo-booth props from Target, Amazon, and some dollar stores. Everyone knows how much girls love to take selfies!!

5.) Have the girls come in their PJs! Every woman prefers pjs over getting dressed up. Trust me, they’ll show!

As far as food, you can either order a pizza or have everyone bring a snack. Again, easy peasy.
