I love football season! Probably because Scott and I tend to lay low on Sundays. It’s just the perfect thing to do, aside from church, as a family. I also enjoy inviting friends, from time to time. On Sunday, Scott and I will be hosting an intimate Football Gathering at The House on High Street.
On one hand, I want to keep it simple. (I have Baby Blue’s First Birthday Party the following weekend!) But, of course, I couldn’t keep myself from looking at Pinterest. Holy cow. Have you seen some of these football gathering ideas? They are so stinkin’ cute. And, fun! I had to share some of these ideas with you~ From quick and simple to the more time-consuming and complex.
These free food labels, by www.papertraildesign.com are simple and perfect to place in front of your appetizers and food bowls. Just print, cut, and fill them out!
Along the same lines are these adorable print-outs for water bottles, by Giggles Galore! Of course, the whistle makes a great touch. But, it’s fairly simple to download and print something. Then, just have the kids use a glue stick to help decorate the bottles!
I love how www.delish.com created a simple football shape from miniature appetizers; such as these pigs in a blanket. You can find the recipe to make these homemade on this website, as well. (They actually call them, pigskin in a blanket.) And, I can eat a TON of these! So good.
This looks simple enough. If you can find brown solo cups. And, a thick white marker. Compliments of www.fabeveryday.com
Out of all the ideas I’m sharing on this post, this one is probably the easiest, and most fun. Game Day Bingo Boards! This would be great for a large crowd, like Super Bowl Sunday.
It’s amazing how many snack foods can be decorated like a football! Click on any of the photos above to get more details, direct from the creators’ websites. I love them all. (Well, except the chocolate covered pretzels. Bad experience, as a kid. Never got passed it! lol)
More Time-Consuming Ideas
Same principle as above, but these chocolate covered strawberries require a little more work. So worth it though, in my opinion!! I mean, who doesn’t like chocolate covered strawberries!?
How genius is this? A game day photo booth. This is PERFECT for the kids who tend to interrupt the game. This would keep them busy, for sure. A green plastic table cloth and some white duct tape is really all you need. Love this!!
So, these may take an afternoon to make. But, I’m thinking of teenagers who may enjoy doing this as a craft! These decorated mason jars are perfect for utensils and straws for your next football gathering! Thank you, Mason Jars Crafts!
Another great idea just to use a display on your food table (or for the next idea ; ) Simply using PVC pipe to make these field goal posts. Genius!!
Oh, boy! You all know that I love my desserts. This looks almost too good to eat. But, trust me. I wouldn’t have a problem. It’s an Oreo Cookies & Cream Cheese Ball. I guess with any firm dip (using cream cheese) you can shape it into a football. But, how great is this?! (Just click on the photo for the recipe.) Evidently, the author of this blog has a few notable, cheeseball recipes up her sleeve!
Another great idea for the kids to make! At least its reusable. I love burlap banners, lately. I personally think they look great on a mantle. But, something like this can go anywhere. Go, Team!
The Grand Finale ~ The Snack Stadium!
Have you heard of this, yet? The Football “Snack Stadium”. I included a few of my favorites, above. (They’re already taking over Pinterest!) I like this idea, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort. Then again, if the EAGLES make it to the Super Bowl, for the second time in a row, this year… Well, I may just have to make my own version of a Snack Stadium!
Ok, there you have it. Some of my FAVORITE Ideas for your next Football Gathering. I realize some of these are over-the-top. BUT, if your team makes it to the playoffs, at least, you should have at least one fun Football Gathering! Let me know if you use any of these ideas! GO EAGLES!!!
