Last week, I shared how I gave a men’s watch (gifted to me, by JORD) to Scott, for Father’s Day. I figured I’d create a Father’s Day Gift Guide, so that I could share a few more ideas. Hopefully, it will help you in finding the perfect Father’s Day Gift for that special dad in your life.
I wanted to get the perfect Father’s Day gift, for Scott, this year. There are many reasons for this. As you know, Scott is a foster daddy. He and I have been fostering babies for a few years, now. It takes a very special man to love a child enough to foster, over having his own biological child. I know gifts are not necessary, but when I was invited to collaborate with JORD, it was a no-brainer for me to have Scott select a men’s watch, by JORD, for an early Father’s Day gift.
Ah, the warm and sunny weather has finally arrived! Now, it’s not so hard to believe Memorial Day is around the corner! What are your plans? Scott and I hope to make it down to the shore, at least one day. I also may be doing a little shopping to take advantage of the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale! I already have my eye on a few pieces. Mainly summer rompers and jumpsuits!!
Every once in a while, I’m asked about my skin regime. Aside from genetics, there are ways we can take care of our skin. From avoiding sun exposure, to regular facials, and using quality products. (Not meaning expensive products!) In this post, I’ll share my favorite organic skincare and natural makeup products.
The Lord put this on my heart, today. I feel that someone can benefit from this post. Sometimes, we go through trials that test our faith. Other times, we feel overwhelmed with loss, grief, or despair. Perhaps, Mother’s Day is a time in which you struggle, because you lost your mom or a child. Maybe you are waiting to start a family, and feel that nothing is going your way. Or, maybe you do have what you thought you always wanted, and you’re still dealing with grief.
I’m writing this post to remind you, that no matter what you lose (or have lost) and no matter what you are longing for, there is something that can and will always be yours, no matter what your circumstances look like! Your Faith. Your Hope. Your Joy. (Ok, that’s a few things.)
Yesterday, I went shopping at Nordstrom for a summer dress. I was looking for something pretty and lightweight to wear to a day-time birthday party, at a country club. I was surprised to see that the selection was so much slimmer than what Nordstrom has to offer, on line. But, if you watched my Instagram Story, you saw me try on a few dresses that were available in the store. The price range was from $59-$495. (I know, that’s pretty crazy!) Just goes to show you that it’s not about the price tag. It’s about how you feel wearing the dress. Here are five Nordstrom Summer Dresses that could be worn at your next summer event.
I’ve traveled to Europe, three times, during the hot summer months. It’s generally crowded and sometimes very hot. If you’re relaxing by the Mediterranean Sea or on a yacht, the weather will be a blessing. But, if you’re sightseeing, standing in lines, and walking for miles, it can be rather unpleasant. The most important thing to consider before visiting Europe, in summer, is to pack smart and plan even smarter. You’ll be happy that you took the extra time, before enjoying your well deserved vacation!
Holy cow! Why have I waited this long? All this time, I never knew what I was missing. Yes, I had been to Aldi before. But, it was a while ago. It wasn’t essential for me to drive a few extra miles to save some money. Not to mention, I hadn’t realized how much of an upgrade this store has received. It’s much nicer and cleaner than I remembered and the selection of products is much better. But, after my visit this week, I’m totally hooked! From this point forward, I will always do some shopping at Aldi!
As you now know, my family has morphed into minivan contendership, practically overnight (read about that here), I think it’s about time that I start shopping at Aldi! It’s ridiculously great quality food and fantabulous prices. Come and see. I’m so excited about my finds. Almost as much as I’m excited about my new minivan!
I don’t know about you, but I feel like April is such a tease. One day it’s warm. The next day is really cold! I’m so ready to get to the beach, enjoy consistent warm weather, and spend more time outdoors. Thankfully, there is still time to find that perfect wicker, woven straw and/or bamboo bag.
Yeah, it’s pretty clear, I ain’t no size two. But I can shake it, shake it, like I’m supposed to do. (Meghan Trainor) One of my favorite songs of the decade, and perhaps your’s too. Yet, we’re still left with the common reality and greatest hope: Having curves and Looking great in a swimsuit. Respectively.
I hate to think those who do wear a size two would even be reading this post, but I trust that if you really and truly have curves, you’ll want to wear swimsuits that compliment those god-given assets. (For the record, my husband would be miserable if I lost my curves.)
