I want to start my own business. I want to join the gym. I want to spend more time with my friends. I want to write a book. I want to adopt. I want to join a church. I want to get my family together, on Sundays. I want to learn how to play the piano. I want to be a life coach. I want to be a public speaker. I want to go on a mission’s trip. (Fill in the blank: ________)
Ok, so we have all seen the movie, “The Notebook”, right? Probably more than once. One of my favorite parts is after Allie returns to Noah, and before running off, he asks her, “What do you want?”
Oh, this entire movie tugs on my heart strings. I feel like I can relate to Allie in so many ways. I believe this scene resonates with all women, because it’s so true. Sometimes, we don’t know or we just forget what we want. WHY?
You didn’t think I’d leave out the family, did you? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which comes only once a year, is one of the best sales for good reason. Last week, I shared some of the 2018 Fall Fashion Trends for women, along with my top picks from the sale. The week before that, I shared my personal picks, including some classic pieces that are most popular. So, today, I’m providing my top picks from the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for the Men, Kids, and Home!
Every year, there are official Fashion Week events that help fashionistas plan their upcoming seasonal wardrobe. I have never been to one, yet. But, my goal is to attend NYFW in the Fall of 2019! Fortunately, we can see everything on-line. So, I wanted to share some of the Fall 2018 Fashion Trends that have been projected from the winter events.
You may, or may not, have heard of it. The annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale takes place, in July, and it is unique in one major factor. These are all items that are coming out in the Fall, and for a limited time, you can snag your favorite picks for a great discount! So, saddle up, and get yourself ready. I’m going to give you the lay of the land and share how this works, how you can prepare, and what I will be adding to my personal wish list.
Over the past few years, Scott and I have become somewhat addicted to drama-related television series. After a full day of doing our own thing, putting the baby to bed, doing dishes, and picking up toys, we anticipate our down time, relaxing, and watching an hour of TV. It’s just enough time before one of us declares, “I’m falling asleep!”
I am a huge proponent of spending a little more for a better quality product. I don’t know many women who would turn down a free pair of Gucci sunglasses, Valentino pumps, or an iconic Chloe Bag. However, when the price tag looks like the bill from our last family vacation, it’s rather simple to resort to mere window shopping.
When I was an Elementary School Teacher, I would do more reading in the summer. I rarely had time to do the things I loved, during the school year. After ten months of teaching, I loved including faith-building books that would restore and strengthen me in every way!
I still have the habit of including faith-building books for my summer reading list. These are books, written by modern-day authors, that reference and apply scripture to daily living. They can be in the form of a personal testimony (in which the author shares his/her life experience and how God’s word has made a positive impact). Or, they can be a commentary type of study that explains scripture in a way that is applicable and relevant to today’s times.
Last week, I shared how I gave a men’s watch (gifted to me, by JORD) to Scott, for Father’s Day. I figured I’d create a Father’s Day Gift Guide, so that I could share a few more ideas. Hopefully, it will help you in finding the perfect Father’s Day Gift for that special dad in your life.
I wanted to get the perfect Father’s Day gift, for Scott, this year. There are many reasons for this. As you know, Scott is a foster daddy. He and I have been fostering babies for a few years, now. It takes a very special man to love a child enough to foster, over having his own biological child. I know gifts are not necessary, but when I was invited to collaborate with JORD, it was a no-brainer for me to have Scott select a men’s watch, by JORD, for an early Father’s Day gift.
Ah, the warm and sunny weather has finally arrived! Now, it’s not so hard to believe Memorial Day is around the corner! What are your plans? Scott and I hope to make it down to the shore, at least one day. I also may be doing a little shopping to take advantage of the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale! I already have my eye on a few pieces. Mainly summer rompers and jumpsuits!!
